The carbon fibre does not need great introductions. Now used in many industrial sectors, where there is the need to obtain maximum performance with reduced weight, represents a maximum level of technology.
Everybody knows the massive use in Formula One, in the Sai- ling World Cup, in the Aerospace Industry and some of us even have a bicycle frame made of carbon fibre or special parts of a superbike.
Why use in dentistry?
Thanks to its characteristics of high strength and lightness the carbon fibre represents a new era in the prosthetic application.
The creation of precise prosthetic structures, without retractions or expansions, strong and lightweight, and that could be carried out quickly in any dental laboratory without the aid of any space equipment, intelligent software, and external organizations, it was an aspect that many felt the lack.

The fibre used is specifically made by a company that specializes in aeronautical manufacturing, is multi-directional, so you can unload the forces produced both of compression and of bending, with no problems whatever direction vectors are.
The E-Module of Dream Frame structure is 66.000 MPa, the load resistance 500 MPa, a huge values compared to the forces presented in the oral cavity that are unlikely to exceed the 70/80 Kg/cm2 (about 7 MPa).
Compared to traditional materials it also offers a capacity of shock absorption which is very important for implant prosthetics.
The resin used for impregnation of the fiberes is as a result of new technology and provides high strength properties.
For use in the oral cavity it has been necessary to achie- ve a resin with high biocompatibility of plant origin that we called Dream Frame Bio Resin. The tests carried out in certified research laboratories, Dream Frame Bio Resin reached values of total biocompatibility.
Dream Frame, thanks to its strength, mechanics stability and micro-mechanical elasticity (shock absorption), of- fers an important solution in implant-prosthesis works. Its high precision allows to avoid a post cementation to make passive the structure.
Certainly it will be necessary to start with a dental impression in plaster or locking of transfer in order to ensure an accurate dental impression.
