Chemical features
Following the reaction of addition, the reactive groups bind themselves together without separation of a third molecule. As the splitting of products by means of evaporation
is impossible, provided that the initial product is not volatile and has a higher molecular weight (like DEI® Rainbow), a shrinkage does not occurduring the curing.
Under influence of catalysts based on precious metals, the hydrogen-hydride groups of silicon of a component link to the vinyl-hydride groups of silicon of the other component.
